Bristol Festival of Ideas
I have recently worked on some really interesting commissions for Bristol Festival of Ideas (including my White City to War project).
Cover image for the 2017 Festival of Economics, based around the idea of a snakes and ladders board.
The above image is for a Festival of ideas based around the Russian Revolution, and related subjects. I've incorporated elements from several of the talks talking place relating to (from top left, clockwise): Stalin and scientists, protest and revolution (Black Lives Matter, Brexit, women and the Abortion Act), James Baldwin, corruption in Mexico, black Britains, The Russian Revolution, and Louise Bryant.
The Above image is for a book of themed walks around Bristol (commerce, art and architecture, science, etc)
Above is an an Image for the front cover of the brochure, for the 2016 Festival of Economics...
Here is an image I made for the front cover of a recent brochure, advertising a series of talks and events on Mary Shelley and her book Frankenstein....
“His yellow skin scarcely covered the work of muscles and arteries beneath; his hair was of a lustrous black, and flowing; his teeth of a pearly whiteness; but these luxuriances only formed a more horrid contrast with his watery eyes, that seemed almost of the same colour as the dun white sockets in which they were set, his shrivelled complexion and straight black lips.”
